This is a Pale Ale and one of the most awarded on the continent. Packing a punch of tropical fruit and citrus aroma with a crisp and gentle malt finish.
Killer Hop is the first beer we brewed and our most awarded. It won many gold and silver medals at South African beer awards, a gold at the African Beer Cup and IBD African Beer Awards as well as Grand Champion at the IBD African Beer Awards.
The Mad Giant philosophy is to brew flavourful beers that will smack a smile on happy faces, while we strive to have as little impact on the environment as possible. In 2018 we ditched plastic packing in exchange for cardboard. Now we are ditching cardboard for returnable packaging making this the most planet friendly beer ever!
Our brewery is situated in the oldest part of Johannesburg at 1 Fox Street. It is here where miners flocked to in the 1800’s in search of gold. We found it, and now we are sharing it with the world.
